The 2026 ABAS 45th Anniversary Gala – SOLD OUT

ABAS celebrated its 45th Anniversary. The theme was Branching Out: Asian Americans in the Forefront of Leadership and Public Service. ABAS presented a panel of distinguished speakers, namely Governor Gavin Newsom’s Cabinet Secretary Nani Coloretti, the 10th Assembly District (South Sacramento and Elk Grove) Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen, and Magistrate Judge Chi Soo Kim of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. The panel was moderated by former ABC 10 news anchor, Sharon Ito!

At the Gala, ABAS also celebrated and honored the ABAS and ABAS Law Foundation scholarship and community service awardee, Judge Chi Soo Kim.

The Gala featured an evening of elegant Filipino Fiesta cuisine and lively musical entertainment showcased by the local Sacramento band, Azucal.

Attendees exclaimed that the Gala was “one for the ages,” “phenomenal,” and “best Bar event of the year.”

Can I still buy a ticket?

Thank you for your interest, however tickets to the ABAS 45th Anniversary Gala are sold out.  To join the waitlist, kindly email us at abassacramento@gmail.com.

Where can I park?

On-street parking is available in metered on street spaces during the Museum’s regular business hours Tuesday through Sunday. On weekdays and Saturdays, parking is also available in the hourly garage located at 1500 10th Street across the street from the Museum.

Is there a dress code?
The event is formal. The location will be at the courtyard. The theme is elegant Filipiniana. Cultural formal attire is most welcome. The important thing is that our guests are comfortable and true to their aesthetic.

Will entertainment be provided?
Yes! Local fun cover band, Azucal, will provide musical entertainment before and after the dinner program.

What food will be served?
Inspired by a traditional Filipino fiesta, where neighbors cook their best dishes and share them in the community public square, we will serve an exquisite Filipino buffet that will include beef, pork, and vegan selections.
